Are you someone with?
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, Law or a related discipline.
Minimum 5–7 years' relevant experience in quality assurance, risk management, internal controls, compliance, AML/CTF, operations or financial services administration.
Experience within investment management, financial advisory services, banking, superannuation, funds administration or other regulated financial services environments.
Working knowledge of operational risk management principles, internal control frameworks, AML/CTF requirements and quality assurance methodologies.
Experience in conducting reviews, investigations, control testing and process improvement initiatives.
Competence in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong analytical, report writing and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular quality assurance reviews of operational processes, transactions and documentation to assess completeness, accuracy and compliance with approved procedures, service standards and regulatory requirements.
Review client files, operational records and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and adherence to internal policies, governance requirements, AML/CTF obligations and other regulatory requirements.
Conduct periodic reviews of client onboarding, customer due diligence (CDD), know-your-customer (KYC) and enhanced due diligence processes to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
Identify process deviations, operational errors, control weaknesses, AML/CTF deficiencies and areas requiring improvement, and recommend corrective actions.
Perform operational risk assessments and support the maintenance of risk registers, issue registers and corrective action tracking mechanisms.
Conduct periodic testing of key operational, AML/CTF and governance controls and validate the effectiveness of implemented controls and remediation activities.
Monitor compliance with client identification, verification, record keeping, sanctions screening and ongoing customer due diligence requirements.
Monitor implementation of agreed corrective actions and provide independent follow-up on outstanding findings arising from quality reviews, audits, risk assessments and AML/CTF review.
Analyse operational incidents, quality review outcomes, AML/CTF findings and error trends to identify root causes and recommend process enhancements.
Prepare and submit monthly quality assurance, risk and governance reports to the Line Manager (General Counsel), highlighting findings, emerging risks, AML/CTF control observations, trends, corrective actions and improvement opportunities.
Assist with the development, review and enhancement of policies, procedures, governance frameworks, AML/CTF procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Support internal and external audits, AML/CTF independent reviews and regulatory inspections by coordinating documentation, providing evidence and monitoring completion of action plans.
Promote quality awareness, risk management practices, AML/CTF compliance and a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
Liaise with business units to ensure quality assurance findings and recommendations are appropriately addressed and implemented.
Undertake other duties reasonably assigned by the General Counsel & Company Secretary in support of organisational objectives.
